Extracting the Cylinder:
A.Insert the Key: Fully insert the original key into the cylinder.
B. Align the Cam: Rotate the key to align the cam with the body of the cylinder, ensuring it can be removed.
C.Remove the Cylinder: With the cam properly aligned, gently pull the cylinder out from its housing.
How to install a lock for the first time?
Open the BLACK X App.
click on ‘install a new lock’.
Name Your Lock or choose a description.
Create a ‘Home’ to associate with the lock.
Choose the ‘Home’ for your lock.
While in “Discovering Nearby Locks” mode, use the Allen key to press the connect button on the BLACK X device.
When a pop-up for the correct lock appears, click “Connect” to proceed.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully connected your first lock.

Ensure Bluetooth is activated on your smartphone and open the BLACK X app.

Pull the plastic tab located between the battery and the contact points.
Ensure the outer cover is securely attached to the base by pressing it firmly into position.
Step 3: Pair the BLACK X xKey and Assign Permissions
Ensure Bluetooth is activated on your smartphone and open the BLACK X app.
Navigate to your BLACK X lock settings ⚙️ , select xKey and then tap Add xKey.
Choose the relevant period for authorized access: Timed, Unlimited, or Recurring.
Enter the authorized user’s details (first name, last name, and the relevant period, if applicable), then select Continue.

How to Delete an xKey
Managing your BLACK X smart lock is simple. Follow these steps to quickly delete an xKey due to loss or reassignment.
Note: If you have purchased the Wi-Fi Bridge , Start directly from Step 2.
Ensure you are within 10 feet (3 meters) of the lock.
Open the app and go to the Settings Menu.
Select xKey.
Choose the lock the xKey is paired with.
Select the xKey User Profile.
Tap Delete and confirm the deletion.
The xKey has now been successfully deleted from the lock.
Once the process is complete, the xKey will no longer have access to the lock. You can now add a new xKey if needed or continue managing your access settings through the app. For any issues, refer to the BLACK X support section.
